I have cable with charter communications. With the DTV transition going on, do i still need an antenna?

i just bought an antenna and converter box.

i really don't understand where to put my cable from charter communications.

does that go in the antenna in?

URGENT!

any answers will be greatly appreciated|||If you have cable, they will provide a converter for your low def TV sets %26lt;%26lt;WHEN%26gt;%26gt; they go full digital.

Over the air transmissions are presently digital, but cable companies aren't forced to transition to digital...their timeline is a couple years later.|||Charter has a 1-800 number and they also have a website you can contact customer service from there as well.

From what I understand people who have cable don't need to have an antenna and a box. For example we have Comcast and we are good to go. We asked the Tec guy when he came to help us with the computer.

So sorry I hope you get it all worked out soon. Best wishes.|||You don't need either a converter box or an antenna.

Just connect your cable to the TV.

Converter boxes work only with antenna.|||You shouldn't but have one anyway|||heres a website with alot of information.
