Charter Communications and wireless internet?

so im buying Motorola Surfboard SB5100 Cable Modem for my new charter communications internet... well my first question is which would be the best cable modem to use and a cheaper cost? and then my second would be do i have to buy a wireless router too? or does it already have that available or does it pick up connections on lets say a laptop?|||Surfboard is a very good brand. So is Ambit. You would have to buy a seseparate router or modem/router combination in order to get a wireless connection. Good brands are Netgear and Ambit (or Ubee since they've changed they're name).
