i have charter comm. in the los angeles region. i noticed that on my remote there is a record button. i was wondering if i can actually record something and then watch later, or is this an extra feature one has to pay an extra monthly amount for? |||You have to get DVR service, which is $15 a month. You might also need to swap your box for a DVR compatible box.|||Like most cable companies, Charter has cable boxes with and without a DVR, but they will give customers the same remote in either case. So the issue is, did you get a regular cable box or did you get the cable box with DVR? They don't give you the version with DVR free so you have to ask for it and pay extra.|||I really can't give you a great answer but checkout out this site the have software and products that relates to what you want answer to.
